The arrival of this news was like a gentle spring rain falling on the hearts of all those involved in the API system certification, and everyone was extremely excited. From the initiation of the API system certification work to obtaining the certification, it took five years, and the efforts and hardships of all participants are beyond words, only to be remembered in their hearts at this important moment.
API is the English abbreviation for the American Petroleum Institute, which enjoys a high reputation both domestically and internationally. The standards it sets are internationally recognized standards for the petroleum machinery and equipment industry. If our company wants to expand into the international market for volumetric pipes, the API system certificate is the key to opening the international market, which indicates the difficulty of obtaining this certification.
In June 2013, the company discovered through market research that obtaining API system certification for volumetric pipe products would not only help open up the international market but also increase competitiveness in the domestic market. In June 2015, considering long-term development, the company's senior management decided to initiate the API system certification work for volumetric pipes. Thus, the company officially began the process of API system certification for volumetric pipes. From July 2015 to the end of 2018, the certification work was ongoing but progressed slowly and did not meet the expected goals. In early 2019, the company's senior management redefined the API system certification work, elevating its importance to a strategic level. The chairman took personal charge, the general manager paid close attention, and the chief engineer vigorously promoted it. Various departments, including the oil measurement and device company, production service department, administrative service department, and quality management department, actively cooperated and urged each other. All participants overcame the challenges of having a shallow foundation in the API system and insufficient knowledge reserves, proactively learned new knowledge, worked overtime day and night to prepare certification materials, held multiple discussion meetings, and conducted concentrated office work, ultimately ensuring the steady progress of the API system certification work. By early 2020, we preliminarily met the audit conditions and submitted the audit application to the American Petroleum Institute.
From May 13 to 16 this year, the American Petroleum Institute sent audit experts to conduct an on-site audit of our company. Through document sampling, on-site inspections, and personnel exchanges, they conducted a strict audit of our company's API system operation. Finally, it was confirmed that our company passed the API system on-site audit, with 8 non-conformities that needed rectification. Subsequently, we carefully rectified the items and submitted the rectification materials to the American Petroleum Institute on July 20, 2020, and ultimately obtained the API system certification certificate (electronic version) on July 31, 2020.
The acquisition of the API system certification certificate has laid a solid foundation for our company to stabilize the domestic market for volumetric pipes and expand into the international market. At the same time, it further proves the reliability of our company's product quality management work. The smooth progress of this certification work is not only due to the correct guidance of the company's senior executives and the full support of department leaders but also to the joint efforts of the oil products and device company, production service department, administrative service department, and quality management department. There is nothing difficult in the world as long as one is willing to climb. We believe that as long as we hold firm beliefs, unify our thoughts, and obey the overall situation, the company will surely overcome mountains and create even more brilliant achievements!
