On November 22, a delegation of 105 national labor models and advanced workers from our province, led by Shen Wanbin from the Oil Measurement and Equipment Company, went to Beijing to attend the 2020 National Labor Model and Advanced Worker Commendation Conference. Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee member and Secretary General Mu Weimin, along with Wang Baocun, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Congress Standing Committee and Chairman of the Provincial Federation of Trade Unions, sent off the labor models.
On the morning of November 24, the National Labor Model and Advanced Worker Commendation Conference was grandly held at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the Communist Party of China, President of the State, and Chairman of the Central Military Commission, attended the conference and delivered an important speech, congratulating the national labor models and advanced workers who were honored on behalf of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council, and extending sincere greetings to the working class and the broad masses of laborers who have made outstanding contributions to reform, opening up, and socialist modernization. Premier Li Keqiang presided over the conference, with Li Zhanshu, Wang Yang, Zhao Leji, and Han Zheng in attendance, and Wang Huning read the commendation decision.
